About Alonzo Kelly
Alonzo Kelly's professional career includes not-for-profit and for-profit experience. He is the architect behind the first Teen Court Juvenile Correction Program for the state of Wisconsin, and a former program director for the Milwaukee Urban League. In addition, he has extensive human resources and operations experience in the healthcare field working for HCR ManorCare and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. He has senior leadership experience in the financial arena having previously served as senior vice president for Wells Fargo Funds Management Group.
Kelly is a dedicated leader in the workplace and the community. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and serves on the Future Workforce Committee through the Greater Milwaukee Committee. He is a trustee for Marian University and has previously served as a trustee for numerous distinguished organizations such as Milwaukee Renaissance Academy, the Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Urban League, Guest House of Milwaukee, and St. Lawrence Seminary.
He is sought after by numerous institutions and organizations for assistance with staff training and development, diverse recruitment and development strategies, increased leadership capacity training, and community outreach initiatives. In addition to leading KLG, LLC, he serves as an adjunct professor facilitating courses at the graduate and undergraduate level. His courses include Accounting, Financial Issues in Healthcare, Strategic Healthcare Planning and Evaluation, Organizational Behavior, Systems Thinking and Performance Measurement, Operations & Project Management, Workplace Health and Safety, and Human Resource Management.
Alonzo Kelly was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan by his grandmother. He attended St. Lawrence Seminary High School in Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin. At the Seminary, he excelled in athletics, but more importantly developed a true sense of faith, leadership, and service. The training and education at the Seminary serves as the guiding principles for living a productive and servant leadership lifestyle.
Kelly is married with two beautiful children. He and his wife are also licensed foster parents and open their home to youth for emergency placement purposes.
